Chaffey High School Workshop #4: PPE & Building a Work Experience Portfolio

D'Andre Lampkin will return to Chaffey High School for Workshop #4 of the Logistics & Supply Chain Class of 2027 career-readiness series.

Building on the previous workshop about professional dress, first impressions, and workplace readiness, this session will focus on two important areas of employment preparation: personal protective equipment (PPE) and creating a work experience portfolio.

Students will explore how appropriate PPE supports workplace safety in logistics, warehouse, and other hands-on work environments. The workshop will also help students begin thinking about how to document their skills, training, projects, certifications, accomplishments, and work-based learning experiences in a portfolio they can use when preparing for future jobs, internships, apprenticeships, or other career opportunities.

Topics include: understanding the purpose of PPE, choosing PPE appropriate to the work environment, workplace safety and personal responsibility, what belongs in a work experience portfolio, documenting skills, training, projects, and accomplishments, and preparing materials for future interviews and employment opportunities.

D'Andre Lampkin has been invited by the Ontario Hispanic Chamber of Commerce to participate in its upcoming General Membership Meeting.

D'Andre is honored to join Chamber members and local community leaders for an evening of conversation and engagement. The meeting will provide another opportunity for him to listen, build relationships, and discuss the experiences and priorities shaping his campaign for Ontario City Council District 3.

D'Andre Lampkin will be attending as a longtime member of the Creekside West community. D'Andre has served on the Creekside West HOA Board of Directors for more than 10 years and looks forward to connecting with neighbors at this community celebration.

The Southland Symphony Orchestra opens its 2026–27 season with "An American Journey" — a celebration of our nation's spirit, hope, and enduring dreams. The program features Aaron Copland's Lincoln Portrait (narrated by Terry Weatherby), Peter Boyer's Ellis Island: The Dream of America, and America the Beautiful arranged by Sylvia Lee Mann.
