I thought I was simply catching up on messages. Instead, I was reminded just how much heart, hope, and community spirit have gone into this journey.
Tonight, I did something that reminded me why I started this journey.
I sat down and spent time responding to every comment and message residents had sent me across my social media platforms. What began as an opportunity to catch up on conversations turned into one of the most rewarding experiences of this campaign.
I read messages from people who have followed my community work for years. Others shared encouragement after attending one of our community conversations. Some thanked me for my work with students, while others raised concerns about neighborhood safety, development, transportation, and the future of Ontario.
And then there were the messages that simply said, "Keep going. We're rooting for you."
I cannot adequately express how much those words mean to me.
What struck me most wasn't just the encouragement. It was the sense of community behind every message.
People are paying attention. They're asking thoughtful questions. They're sharing their experiences, challenging ideas, offering help, and reminding me that this election is about something much bigger than any one candidate.
It's about people who care deeply about where they live and want to believe that their voices matter.
I've always believed that leadership begins with listening. Not just when it's convenient. Not just when someone agrees with you. And certainly not just when there's an election approaching.
Tonight reinforced that belief.
I also thought about the incredible people who have helped make this campaign possible. The volunteers who set up events, the families who opened their neighborhoods to conversations, the residents who shared our messages, and the supporters who encouraged me when the days grew long.
You are the heart of this campaign.
And here's what I want everyone to remember: we're almost at the finish line.
November 3 is approaching quickly, but our work isn't finished.
We still have neighbors to reach, conversations to hold, questions to answer, and opportunities to remind residents that their participation can help shape Ontario's future.
So please, keep that energy going.
Keep talking to your neighbors. Keep asking questions. Keep sharing what matters to you. Stay engaged, encourage others to participate, and make your plan to vote.
Whether you've supported me from the beginning or are just getting to know me, thank you for being part of this journey.
Whatever happens on Election Day, the relationships we're building and the conversations we're having are worth continuing.
And that's exactly what I intend to do.
Real leadership shows up long before election season. And it keeps showing up afterward.
Let's finish strong, Ontario. Together.
